Button Cookies

Button Cookies - фото рецепта
The recipe for these cookies is very simple and I think many have already made it. I decided to try it too. A simple and original idea, the buttons turn out real, especially if you use food coloring (I didn't have it), but cocoa works well too. If you have a visit coming up, you can make a small handmade box and put these cookies in it. It will be an excellent gift that will be appreciated and remembered. I ended up with 29 pieces.
Flour
1 1/2 cups
Unsalted Butter
1/2 cup (softened)
Sugar
1/3 cup
Eggs
2 (yolks)
Vanilla Sugar
1 packet
Cocoa Powder
2 tsp
To prepare the Button Cookies, thoroughly mix the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar.
Then add the softened butter and mix thoroughly.
Gradually add the flour, mixing well each time.
Divide the dough into two equal parts. Add cocoa to one part, mix well, and then combine both parts back into one. Chill both dough balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Roll out the light dough into a sheet about 5-7 mm thick. Cut out circles using a glass with a diameter of 2 inches. Then, using the cap of a plastic bottle, make an indentation in each circle, but not all the way through.
Make four holes in the center of each cookie using a straw (you can also use a matchstick or toothpick). Repeat the same process with the dark dough to make the button details.
Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cookies at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
Cool the finished Button Cookies and serve with coffee or tea.
