Chocolate Boiling Water Cake

Chocolate Boiling Water Cake - фото рецепта
The cake is simply amazing! Very fluffy, soft, and with an extraordinary taste!!! To be honest, the recipe initially made me a little wary (the batter is liquid, a lot of sugar, and baking soda and baking powder...), but when I saw the final result, all my doubts disappeared. The cake turned out not overly sweet, perfectly baked, and I have never seen such a fluffy sponge. Any frosting of your choice will suit here.
For the batter:
Eggs
2 pcs
Sugar
2 cups
Milk
1 cup
Baking Soda
1.5 tsp
Baking Powder
1.5 tsp
Cocoa Powder
6 tbsp (heaping)
Flour
2 cups
Vanilla Sugar
1 packet
Sunflower Oil
1/3 cup
Water
1 cup (boiling)
For the frosting:
Sour Cream
250-300 g (30% fat)
Sugar
1/2 cup (powdered sugar)
Vanilla Sugar
5 g
To prepare the chocolate boiling water cake, first prepare the cake pan. Grease it with butter and dust with ground breadcrumbs
You can use semolina, cookie crumbs, bread crumbs...
Beat the eggs well with sugar. Add the remaining ingredients (except for a cup of boiling water) and mix well. Finally, add a cup of boiling water, mix. The batter is quite liquid.
Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 180 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-60 minutes.
Invert the baked sponge onto a suitable dish, place a damp towel on top and leave for about 10 minutes. Then remove the pan (this is quite easy to do). The sponge turns out tall and fluffy, you can cut it into two or three layers.
For the frosting, place the bowl with sour cream in cold water or on ice and beat until thick and fluffy. Sift powdered sugar, mix with vanilla sugar, and combine with the whipped sour cream. Frost the layers with the frosting and let the cake soak in.
My frosting turned out a bit runny (due to the low fat content of the sour cream). But still, the chocolate cake turned out very delicious and well soaked. Pure enjoyment!
I topped the cake with some currants.
