Recipe for soft and fluffy pancakes, very popular in America. They are prepared quickly and easily and when served with honey and fresh berries, they are simply perfect for breakfast. Pancakes are not greasy at all, very fluffy. You can add cocoa or food coloring to the batter - to make colorful pancakes, kids will love it. Although pancakes may look similar to our pancakes, they are completely different. You will easily see it for yourself if you prepare these American pancakes.
Flour
1 1/2 cups
Sugar
2 tbsp
Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp
Citric Acid
1/4 tsp
Salt
1/2 tsp
Egg
1
Milk
3/4 cup
Olive Oil
3 tbsp (or sunflower oil)
To make pancakes, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, citric acid, and salt in a bowl. Thoroughly mix everything with a whisk.
Then add the egg, mix, add milk, mix, then add 3 tbsp vegetable oil and mix everything well with a mixer for 1.5-2 minutes. The batter should be quite thick.
Heat a pan without oil and spoon the batter onto the pan. I spooned 2 tbsp of batter, slightly spread it, and cooked one pancake at a time. Once bubbles appear all over the surface of the pancake, it's time to flip it. Cook the pancakes for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Place the cooked pancakes on a plate, add honey (jam and condensed milk work well too), fresh berries, and enjoy!
