Eggs for breakfast are delicious, quick, and most importantly, nutritious. We prepare this dish quite often and want to diversify it somehow. I offer a recipe for a completely new version of eggs - a dish from Turkish cuisine. Essentially, it is poached eggs in yogurt sauce with spices and herbs. It turns out original and very delicious.
Eggs
2 eggs
Yogurt
1 cup (plain)
Garlic
1 clove
Butter
1 tbsp
Vinegar
1 tbsp
Salt
1.5 tsp
Paprika
1 tsp
Cayenne Pepper
1/4 tsp (optional)
Parsley
To make Turkish-style poached eggs, pour 3 cups of water into a saucepan, add vinegar and 1 tsp of salt. When the water boils, reduce the heat and carefully add the eggs. Cook for 3 minutes over low heat.
It's better to crack each egg into a separate container before adding them to the boiling water.
Add minced garlic and 0.5 tsp of salt to the yogurt. Mix well.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the eggs to a plate and drizzle with yogurt.
Melt butter in a skillet. When it starts to foam, add paprika, pepper, and optionally some dried Italian herbs to taste. Stir.
