This beetroot caviar is very easy to make and turns out very delicious. In this recipe, beets are stewed raw, so the dish is prepared fairly quickly.
Beets
2 beets
Onion
1 onion
Garlic
2 cloves
Sunflower Oil
for frying
Vinegar
1 tsp (rice)
To prepare the beetroot caviar, finely chop the onion and fry it in a skillet with vegetable oil.
Grate the beets using a large grater, add to the onion, mix everything and stew covered for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2 minutes before it's ready, add minced garlic and vinegar. You can substitute rice vinegar with lemon juice. Season with a little salt, and if the beets are not sweet, you can add a bit of sugar. Cook for a couple of minutes under the lid and then it's ready to be served. Garnish the caviar with nuts and herbs.
