I used to pickle just zucchinis. But then I came across this recipe and now I only pickle like this. This recipe is great because you can use large cucumbers (they should be firm and meaty). The flavors of cucumbers and zucchinis mix together, resulting in a very delicious and unusual dish.

For 1 liter of marinade:
Sugar
5 tbsp
Salt
2 tbsp
Vinegar
100 g (9%)
To prepare pickled cucumbers with zucchini, slice the cucumbers and zucchinis into 1-2 cm thick rounds, layer them alternately in jars (3 liters). Prepare the marinade. You need just over a liter of marinade for one 3-liter jar. The exact amount of water can be measured by draining one jar separately. Pour boiling water over the vegetables the first time. Let it sit for 20 min. Drain the water and add 2 bay leaves and 3 peppercorns to each jar. Pour the marinade over for the second time and seal with metal lids.
