Mulberries (from mulberry tree) come in various colors such as red, pink, purple, and almost black, ranging in size from 0.4 to 2 inches. This berry is very beneficial, containing a large amount of a powerful plant antioxidant (resveratrol). On its own, it serves as a wonderful dessert, and I offer a quite simple recipe for a very delicious mulberry jam. In our family, this jam is always the first to be eaten and hardly ever makes it to winter.
Mulberries
2.2 lbs
Sugar
4.4 cups
Lemon
1 pc (juice)
Preparing mulberry jam is not difficult. Rinse the berries well, let them drain, place them in a convenient container, and sprinkle with sugar. Leave the berries for 6-8 hours to release their juice.
Then, place the saucepan on the stove and cook the jam for 5-8 minutes. Allow the jam to sit for 5-6 hours, then reheat for 5-10 minutes and let it sit for another 5-6 hours.
For the third time, cook the mulberry jam, add lemon juice, pour into sterilized jars, and seal.
