Recipe for this jam, I think, is familiar to many, especially its taste. Ripe heavenly apples have a special tart flavor, and the jam turns out truly heavenly. An excellent dessert, the apples turn out beautifully amber and can be used to decorate cakes and desserts.
Apples
4 cups
Water
2.5 cups
Sugar
3.5 cups
Lemon
1 pc.
To make heavenly apple jam, wash the apples well. Then pierce each apple in several places with a wooden toothpick.
Then blanch the apples in boiling water for 2-3 seconds and immediately cool them in cold water. Dissolve sugar in hot water, bring to a boil, constantly stirring the syrup. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Slightly cool the ready syrup.
Blanching the apples and then pouring them with warm (not hot) syrup is done to preserve their integrity.
Pour warm syrup over the apples and let them infuse. Once the syrup cools, place it on low heat, bring it to a boil. Cook for no more than 10 minutes.
After 4-6 hours, bring it to a boil again, add lemon slices. Gently stir the jam, or better yet, shake it slightly to avoid damaging the apples. Repeat the whole process again after 4-6 hours.
As soon as the apples are filled with syrup and become amber, the jam is ready. Distribute the jam into sterilized jars and seal them.
